Good morning. Here's my report from the Seattle Benaroya concert last night. Wow, did I feel I really got my money's worth. What a long and fantastic show.

It seemed to start out a little bit less than high energy, mainly from the audience (or maybe it was just me). After all, that place is big (and just about fully sold-out), it's a formal sit down concert hall, and it was a Monday night. But the energy level did pick-up after a short while. And it was totally rockin' by the end of the night.

And what a long night - 2 hours on stage. I'm not good at tracking songs, but I thoroughly enjoyed every single one. Hugh's voice is good and the musicianship is outstanding!

I don't know what he played new or left out of the previous list, but here are some highlights I loved:

He praised the Queen for her sixty year reign, saying anybody doing anything for that long deserves applause (or something like that). Then Kevin started playing and Hugh, after missing the first starting point and restarting, sang "Her Majesty's a Pretty Nice Girl" from the Beatles. It was very cute. By the way, he teased the 2 Canadians in his band for having the Queen on their money.

He mentioned House ending and how much everything has changed (he included the Delta pilot reference). But then he said he was in a shoe shop in San Francisco looking at shoes when he heard a woman saying to him (something like), "Excuse me, excuse me.." He said (something like), "Oh, oh. I put on my 'meet a fan' face", and turned to the woman. But she was holding a shoe in her hand and asked him, "do you have this in a size 9?" His face dropped, then he said, "Funny how quickly things change" (or something like that - sorry, I don't have a great memory. If someone else remembers these things more clearly, please feel free to correct me). Everyone laughed and he mumbled, "That's a true story".

At the end he mentioned how this is a fantastic journey for him and a dream come true. it was so heart-felt and I'm so glad he is doing this. It inspires me to pursue my dreams because it's never too late!

I completely agree with the other posts, that he hardly looked like House. I have to admit (and I'm sorry to disagree with others but it's just how I feel), that while Hugh/House is a man I'd like to have alone for one night (as a fantasy, of course), Hugh/Hugh seems more like a man I'd want as a good friend - to have a beer with and laugh from his fantastic wit and personality.

Overall, an outstanding, well thought out, moving experience that was worth every penny spent. As many have said here, if you get a chance to see him and the band, do it!
