Изредка ПРОБУЕТ приструнить Хауса, но понимает, что это бесполезно и отступает, тогда пробует подойти с другой стороны... и как правило своего добивается, вот именно за это ее Хаус и уважает.

Хороший начальник - ценит подчинённых и борется за них, поддерживает Грега, не смотря на все его выходки.

Вспомнилась серия, когда у мужика была болезнь, когда он говорил всё, что думает: "Вот это поршни, как у Феррари!"
И еще серия где Кадди спалса и помогла родится новорожденному, при этом все это делая наперекор Хаусу, заставивши понять Хауса, что плод это МАЛЕНЬКИЙ ЧЕЛОВЕК(помните маленькая ручка в на пальце Хауса, реально покотисась слеза).

А еще Кадди ОЧЕНЬ ХИТРАЯ еврейка, которая очень себя любит и еще болше любит и умеет мучать Хауса: совершенно нагло и стабильно футболит Хауса, у него потом срывы, претендента негра подставила трусиками, вот Лукаса подставила под удар, что бы Хаус заревновал, были и много других моментов ее мучений Хауса!

Я совсем (совершенно, абсолютно!!!!!!!!) не понимаю её поведения в ситуациях, когда Хаус лечит своих пациентов. Она его знает уже долгое время и знает, что Хаус прав в 99% случаев.
при этом, она пытается помешать действовать по своему разумению в половине случаев, а в первых сезонах практически в каждом первом!!! Где логика? Где ум, о котором вы пишите?

Очень показательна в этом плане серия из 5 сезона, в которой Кадди передает часть своих полномочий Кэмерон.
Вот где мой ум зашел за разум.

Хаус предлагает вариант лечения пациента.
Кэм говорит ДА. Кадди говорит НЕТ.
Хаус спасает жизнь пациенту.
Кэм приходит к Кадди и извиняется за то, что сказала ему ДА.
Кадди винит в произошедшем Хауса.

Они вообще о чем?

Весь сериал убедительно доказывает одно - Хаус гений диагностики, которому нет равных.
Одно дело - пытаться заставить одеть его белый халат, заставлять работать с "обычными" пациентами в клинике, заставлять быть корректным с пациентами итп.
Но вмешиваться в его методы лечения - это бред.

Сие противоречие цепляет меня с первых серий и мешает полюбить Кадди всем сердцем Хотя актриса замечательная и я ей очень симпатизирую))

Current Huddy mood after Monday's episode of House "5 to 9"? I'll let John Travolta express it for me: "I got chills, they're multiplying. And I'm losing control. Cuz this power, you're supplying. It's electrifying!" ... Yes, never deny the power of a completely kitschy reference when it pops up in your mind. Like a lot of things in that episode "it might come in handy some day"... J

Here's how I felt after seeing "5 to 9" on Monday: impressed, excited, thrilled and above all, still faithful. Curiously though, I can't really say that this portrayal of Cuddy's crazy, busy life made me truly happy for Cuddy, considering where I saw her stand in her life at that very moment, and of course, I mean that on a personal level more than on a professional one. But paradoxically (I think I'm starting to live there, in paradoxland that is...), despite this taste of mixed feelings I had after Monday's episode, overall, it still left me with the plain and undeniable certainty that all that was depicted, good or bad, and even maybe mostly bad, was really there for a greater good. It had a purpose, and considering the fact that this is Cuddy and House we're talking about, I was once again left with a satisfying feeling that it was promising and good for Huddy: because in order to go there, it just has to be like that, right now, in both Cuddy's and House's lives. It's a journey and it can't be anything other than what it is: not perfect, not absolutely fulfilling, not completely rewarding, not peacefully beautiful. Not............... yet.

But first, I cannot start this review without mentioning Lisa Edelstein's brilliant performance in that episode. We all know House's cast is extremely talented. We most certainly know Hugh Laurie is, for he gives us weekly proof of this incredible talent. Recently, we'd been offered a beautiful opportunity to deeper appreciate Robert Sean Leonard's acting skills as well with "Wilson", and this week, finally, we had a whole hour focusing on Lisa Cuddy, PPTH's Dean of Medicine, giving Lisa Edelstein an unrestricted area to express her talent. And she just seized it and unquestionably conquered everything inch of it. She carried the episode from first to last shot masterfully and she delivered, with absolute genuineness, the widest range of emotions she ever got the opportunity to explore in a House's episode. It was just flawless. I had to say it, because I think Lisa Edelstein's talent is underrated. But maybe it's because she's so natural, we tend to forget this an acting performance! So, congratulations to her: she rocked that episode...

Now, back to Lisa Cuddy! Because that's what we had last Monday: a full day in her life. And as the title immediately warned us, a long day it would be. From 5, when she wakes up, to 9, when she goes to sleep, we follow her through her moments of doubts, her worries, the tough choices she's confronted with, the hard decisions she has to make, the inconveniencing events she has to deal with, the sarcastic comments she has to stomach, the pressure, the stress...

So ok, you get it: that's one hell of a day she's living! Is it however like any random day in her life? No, not really. Although, it kind of gives us a pretty accurate picture of how hectic her professional life might be, let's say that the specific context of that day, which is the deadline of a very important matter she needs to take care of, with big issues at stake, just makes every passing hour a living nightmare for Cuddy, whose determination and bravery keeps being challenged, as nothing seems to go as planned.

But first thing first, let's start with her morning: 5 o'clock. Cuddy wakes up, and already a huge emptiness is "filling" her bed... (or is it life?) She taps on the mattress behind her, visibly searching for Lucas' presence, but the other side of the bed is empty. There's nobody there and, although she's supposed to be with a man, she's actually already alone. In a relationship, but left to herself to start her day nonetheless. At 5am. The disenchanted pout she displays when she realized that Lucas is not here, and the heavy sigh that follows speaks of disappointment, but somehow, it also (already) speaks of something sadly familiar. The expression on her face says something like "oh, great! Again..." And so she goes, gets off her bed, to do her little morning ritual, focusing on herself and gathering that strength, energy and serenity she'll most certainly need with a yoga session. But she can't even do that all the way through, because she's stopped by Rachel's cries. And then, an uninterrupted back and forth dance between her daughter, who's apparently sick, and the urge to get ready begins. All of that being punctuated by continuous (and more and more) exasperated checks of her blackberry, visibly frenziedly waiting for a sign from Lucas, which never comes, and stressed glances at the clock, which is running and running under her eyes while she's trying to take care of everything all at the same time (and by the way, judging by the number of clocks there is in Cuddy's house, which is in every room basically, we can easily guess that time is indeed something she's quite used to running after). The only thing that seems to appease her for a bit is the nanny, showing up to take over with Rachel and allow her to have those few moments alone she really needs to finish getting dressed.

At 7.30am, after two hours and a half of constant rush, Cuddy's finally ready to leave and, of course, that's the moment when Lucas shows up, nonchalantly, slowing her down on her way out by offering her a relaxing nookie session before she goes, to get rid of her stress and help her unwind before her big day. And yes, as we learn, it really seems like a big day she's got ahead of her because "the entire hospital is depending on a proposal she's yet to finish and need to present at 8.30." Still, she's undeniably contemplating the offer, and as the woman who never was ashamed to admit "she liked sex", she concedes; because "why not?" (As Woody Allen said "I don't know what the problem is, but sex is definitely the answer.")

So back in the bedroom to try to get the best out of this promised relaxing quickie, which in fact, rapidly (that's the word!) turns out to be anything but relaxing. Just when they're about to get there, Cuddy's blackberry interrupts them and Lucas picks it up (quite inappropriately, in my opinion, because if one should choose whether or not they want to take the call, it's her, not him) He announces that it's House, paging for an emergency. But, not without certain logic, Cuddy rejects the call and tries to get him to focus back on the "here and now", which, although it is of course, very unpleasant to witness, is nothing that we can blame her for (somehow, the only reason she's accepted to delay her departure is to RELAX, so an emergency page is not really what she needs in that precise moment, isn't it? ...) Yet, unfortunately for her, it seems that despite what she needs, and her efforts to have it, she won't get satisfied, since Lucas fails to fulfill his promise, and - almost like a horny self-centered teenager - selfishly relaxes nobody but himself, in two minutes time!

And at this point, there's nothing much left to say, except what is perfectly summed up in one quite upset remark that Cuddy delivers with a smirk: "That's great. Now I'm late, stressed-out AND frustrated!" Now, the only choice she has left is to go to work, later than she already is, still stressed-out and undeniably burdened by another unwanted feeling: frustration! So she gets up and in an attempt to re-focus on her goal and forget Lucas' failure to perform, she stares at herself in the mirror and tries to cheer herself up with a little pep talk "You can do it", she says. Yes, she still has her whole day ahead, and she doesn't have the luxury of allowing herself to take some time: she must get going...

"Do what?" is Lucas' absolute lame answer, and should I add, delivered with the most "I'm-such-a-selfish-moron-I-have-NO-clue-about-what-my-girlfriend-really-needs-in-her-life-but-I'm-still-satisfied-with-myself" inexcusable look on his face.

Poor Cuddy. This is not the kind of day that seems to start well. And the resigned sigh she puffs then, shows that she indeed already knows it. As for us, we now know the four things that appear to represent Cuddy's (current) entire world - probably in that order: her daughter Rachel, her blackberry, Lucas, and House... And, in that particular morning, before she goes to work, where does Cuddy stand, in regard to those four elements that fill her life?

- First Rachel. As it's shown throughout the whole episode, despite the professional pressure, she's undeniably her biggest source of concern. And as the day unfolds, it's also clear that she's her most genuine.

- Secondly (the blackberry): metaphorically, it's the link between her personal life and her professional life. All in all, it could have the potential of being such an enabling tool for her! It really could offer her an inestimable help in keeping her updated and connected to her personal life, allowing her to go through her day without too much worry. Instead, since every personal reassuring call she crave to make never goes through, while every other professional ones she'd wish to avoid keeps swamping her, it appears that this blackberry is just another nightmarish tool that only has an helping function because that's the way you forced yourself to look at it... in some kind of a delusional way.

- Lucas. As it is, at this point, and especially as the day passes by, it really looks like he's everything I just said about the blackberry, only applicable to a man! He could be helpful. He could connect her to her personal life. He could lessen her worry by keeping her updated in a clever way. He could. A lot of things. But eventually, he's just another nightmarish tool, not really properly working even, and which disappointedly ends up serving the exact opposite purpose he's been chosen for...

- Finally, House: the unpredictable, unexpected, uninvited, obsessive source of annoyance. Always there at the wrong time... or always there in the right moment? He's this absolutely unavoidable thing that just can't be dismissed, even despite this almost instinctual need to reject it at first, "Ignore it! (...) I say ignore it!" Yes, this is Cuddy's reaction to House's emergency page. But, to a certain extent, it's also, and simply, Cuddy's desperate (and so deliciously already lost) struggle to ignore House in her life...

And the big challenge in "5 to 9" was to explore those four elements: Rachel, work, Lucas and House, to see what importance each one of them has in Cuddy's life. And even more so, from a Huddy perspective of course, the questions that are left after this exploration are: how long will Cuddy be able to live with those four elements all together, while maintaining a perfect equilibrium in her life? Is there really room for every element? The day starts and already the fragile balance between all four seems to be compromised. It feels more and more like she can't deal with them all. It even feels like Cuddy starts to realize she'll have to make a choice and sacrifice one of them; because they are all undeniably part of her life, but she can't have them all.

So let's see what a hell of a day Cuddy has before she can finally get to rest, and re-assess the importance of those four elements in her life...
