Emma Thompson is aged with clashing leopard prints, coiffed hair and heavy blue eyeshadow as she films The Legend of Barney Thomson
She's become known for her prim and proper roles in period films such as Sense And Sensibility and Saving Mr Banks.
But Emma Thompson was almost unrecognisable as she filmed her role as a domineering and loudly-dressed mother in The Legend of Barney Thomson, outside the iconic Red Road flats, Glasgow, on Thursday.
Emma plays the role of Cremolina, the mother of a humble Glaswegian barber, Barney Thomson (Robert Carlyle), who inadvertently stumbles into serial murder, with hilarious consequences.

The 55-year-old star looked dramatically older in her heavy stage makeup, with a sweep of dated blue eyeshadow along her browline.
Her natural good looks were disguised with trowelled-on foundation, while her hair was dyed a bright shade of auburn and was styled in a voluminous look.
The Academy award-winning actress wore contrasting leopard-prints for a funky look, teaming an embellished jumper with a furry jacket.

The star was highly animated as she filmed scenes sitting on a space hopper and having a weep on a sofa.
She was also filmed giving her on-screen son Barney a furious clip around the ear, with the pair also sharing a tender embrace.
The script is based on the series of novels by Douglas Lindsay and was adapted for the screen by BAFTA award-winner Colin McLaren (Donkeys) and Richard Cowan.

Meanwhile Emma also features as a narrator, along with Brad Pitt, on Terrence Malick's upcoming documentary Voyage of Time.
